BP's group chief executive Bob Dudley has welcomed the company's 'heads of terms' agreement to sell its stake in TNK-BP to Rosneft, the major Russian integrated oil and gas company, for a mixture of cash and shares. He said: "This investment builds on BP's track record of value creation in Russia. It is consistent with our strategy of deepening our positions in the world's most prolific oil and gas regions."
Is this move in the best interest of all parties concerned?
