Chinese airlines not to submit carbon emission date
NewEnergyToday: Eight Chinese airlines say they will not tell the EU how much carbon dioxide they emitted last year under the bloc's new tax rules. The deadline for providing the information passed on June the 15th.
China's opposition to Europe’s misguided plans in my opinion is fair enough. EU's approach is unilateral and does not align it self with the the chicago convetion of 1944. The EU is proabably looking for funds because of the recession. There is a process and there is ICAO that is working on this. It's better to appraoch it from a single/global perspective.

ReplyDeleteI agree that Europe is taking a unilateral view on this. What's the ICAO and what happened in 1944 though?
