Power purchase agreements, taking a 'leap in the dark', forcing change; what are the dynamics of Power and Gas project financing in Nigeria?
At present Nigeria spends an estimated $13bn every year on providing feed for generators as it delivers 4,230MW to her people. However the unbundling of the power sector has started with the Bureau for Public Enterprises evaluating the financial and technical proposals for the new generation and distribution companies. This were some of the points for discussion at the 2012 FBN Capital Investor Conference.
