The Gorgon Project, Australia's largest single-resource project, is based on Barrow Island, roughly 60 km off the northwest coast of Australia. Moving construction items to and from the island involves a major logistics campaign. Central to this is the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, south of Perth. The complex was developed to assist Australian business to compete for services to large industrial projects. It has become central to Gorgon's construction activities, from transportation to fabrication, and has created many opportunities for local businesses.
