A team of British scientists is trying to restart a drilling mission through the Antarctic Ice Shelf to reach a prehistoric lake. It is hoped that it will reveal evidence of life that could be found elsewhere in the solar system. Drilling down deep into the earth through a lake, they are faced with small time windows before the borehole refreezes to an unusable size, ultimately sealing the lake off again.
