According to Oil & Gas UK: The face of the European gas market is changing. Volatility will increase as a result of the rising prominence of alternative sources of power and further shifts are expected in light of the publication of the Department of Energy and Climate Change's draft Energy Market Reform legislation. Oil & Gas UK's forthcoming breakfast briefing will shed light on the current dynamics.

Andrew Morris of Pöyry, will first consider the impact of the growth of wind power on gas demand and supplies, gas storage, prices and the management of systems both in Europe and the UK. Julia Pyke and Stephen Murray of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP will then provide an overview of the draft legislation on energy markets and expert analysis of its likely effects.

Following a short networking break, the event reconvenes for
a panel session chaired by Michael Tholen of Oil & Gas UK.

Oil & Gas UK's Breakfast Briefings present you with an excellent opportunity to network with industry colleagues and to be informed of the latest developments in the UK oil and gas sector.
